Notes and photos of the 22nd ASA Korea Reunion held in Annapolis, Md on October 2, 3, and 4, 2017
|

The reunion was held in Annapolis, Maryland
at the Crowne Plaza Hotel which had very
nice accommodations. The weather was
perfect with sunny skies all three days and
temperatures in the 70's. The buffet and
plated dinners were very tasty. Our bus trip
to the Naval Academy was a tour of the Naval
Academy and a tour of the chapel where we
were surprised to have the pipe organist give
us a short course in the various sounds of
the pipe organ and then he played Bach's
Tacatta and Fuge in D minor to which
everyone was enthralled. Next we went to
see the 4,400 midshipmen mustering and
marching into King Hall for lunch and then we
had lunch at the Drydock Restaurant on the
Academy grounds. After lunch we visited the
Maryland World War II memorial which
overlooks the Severn River. After a busy day
we returned to the hotel to rest. The night of
the banquet we had Navy seamen present
the flags. Everyone who attended seemed to
have a nice time.
