Wilbur William Christensen age 75 of Greenville died Monday evening October 27, 2008 at Spectrum Health United memorial Long Term Care in Greenville. He was born in Easton Township, Ionia County on October 6,1933 the son of Peter William and Margaret Christensen. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea and a member of the Army Security Agency Korean Veterans Fraternal Association. He was retired from WPLB Radio after many years of service. He married Jeanette R. Dennis on September 27, 1958 in Greenville by the Rev. Dr. St. Claire Parsons. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2006. His brother Fred Nelson also preceded him in death. Surviving are his children; Penny and Brian Little of Trufant and Robert and Theresa Christensen of Greenville, his grandchildren; Tammy Christensen, Kandi and Brandon Lindenbush of Greenville, Benjamin Nisonger of Grand Rapids, Alyce Nisonger of Greenville, Michael and Rachel Galarneau and Josif Galarneau all of Grand Rapids and Robert Christensen Jr. of Greenville, six great grandchildren with the seventh expected soon. Also surviving is his brother-in-law Jerry and Caroline Paulsen. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday November 1, 2008 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association. AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, September, 20, 2008, at University Hospital, Mr. Richard Gordon Goodis, Sr., 74, husband of Kay Saito Goodis. Mr. Goodis was a native of Jamaica, NY. He was retired from the US Army and a carpenter and welder. He was a 10th District Deputy for the Grand Lodge of Georgia and a member of the Carpenters Local 283, 33 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Alexander Masonic Lodge 385, Clarence Cohen 749, Veterans of Foreign Wars 6489, American Legion Post 178, Scottish Rite Research Society, Grand Commandery No. 01, Georgia Lodge Georgia Team, and the Red Cross of Constantine. He was an Honorary member of Acacia Lodge No. 315, A. F. M. North Augusta, A.J. Miller 204, Social 150, Grovetown 730, Augusta Lodge 1, Harlem 276, and Richmond 412 He was a life member of VFW 649, DAV #10 and a 33 year member of American Legion 178. Family members in addition to his wife include his son and daughter- in-law: Richard G. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
